1. Hot Water and Soap

For general cleaning, use hot water and soap. Wet the area with warm water, then scrub with a mild soap. Use a white cloth to rinse the area clean

2. Baking Soda and Vinegar

To remove crayon from painted surfaces, mix 1/2 cup of baking soda with 1 cup of vinegar. Soak a cloth or white paper towel in the solution and wipe the surface clean until the excess crayon comes off. Rinsing with water will remove the solution.

3. Hydrogen Peroxide

If you have an ink stain that won’t come out with other methods, try using hydrogen peroxide. Mix 3 tablespoons of hydrogen peroxide with 1 quart of water, then soak a cloth in the solution and wring it out. Apply the cloth to the stain, and wait 10 minutes. Wipe the area clean with a fresh cloth.

How to Remove Crayon From Painted Walls?

For painted walls, the first step is to scrape off as much crayon as possible with a plastic putty knife or dull knife. For really stubborn marks, you can use a razor blade. Don’t worry about taking off any paint. Just get the crayon itself.

Next, clean the area with liquid dish soap and water to remove any remaining residue. Dry it thoroughly and then give it a quick coat of paint to cover up any discoloration from the crayon.

Next, mix equal parts white vinegar and water in a spray bottle and then apply it directly onto the mark using a damp cloth or sponge mop (be careful not to let it run).

Let it sit for about 30 minutes before wiping away with a clean cloth or sponge mop.

How to Remove Crayon From Clothes?

Removing crayon from clothes is fairly easy. For light colored clothing, you can just wash the area in the washing machine with warm water and a mild detergent.

Use a color catcher if you have one and wash as usual with soapy water.

For darker colored clothing, follow the same steps but be sure to use cold water instead of warm. Then, soak in cold water for about 15 minutes before washing as usual. If the stains still remain, you might want to wash it two time.
