According to Doug Russell, a good rule of thumb for hanging artworks is to place them so that the light beams hit the center of the artwork at a 30-degree angle.
If the artwork is hung too low, then long shadows will be created under the painting.
4. Avoid leaving your artwork in humid places
Even if it’s not art fairs, many of us are guilty of leaving our art collections in humid places.
Unfortunately, this can lead to damage. The humidity can cause the colors to fade and the paper to warp.
So, if you’re planning on storing your artwork in a humid place, take some preventative measures.
You can use a dehumidifier to keep the air around your paintings dry. Or, you can store your artwork in airtight containers.
5. Use wall dividers
